A highlight was undoubtedly the live cooking demonstration held in the Princess Theater, which drew a packed audience eager to witness their expertise firsthand. We also had the pleasure of experiencing their guidance during our shore excursions.

In Santa Barbara, our wine tasting excursion led us to the beautiful Fess Parker Winery. Our culinary exploration continued in Ensenada, Mexico. Here, we embarked on a tour of Monte Xanic, one of Baja California’s premier wineries. This was followed by a truly authentic and fresh local lunch, expertly prepared by Chef David Sagado. Each dish was a vibrant celebration of Baja’s fresh ingredients and unique flavors. To complete our Ensenada culinary immersion, we made a quick, essential stop in the bustling downtown area for a quintessential local experience: mouth-watering fish tacos. The opportunity to meet these celebrated chefs, engage with them, and even sample some of their specially featured recipes served across different venues on the ship, was a genuine culinary treat that I will long remember.

Traveling and immersing myself in different parts of our country, and indeed the world, is something I profoundly treasure. My love for culture, history, and natural beauty was thoroughly indulged during these four days exploring the Santa Barbara and Baja California regions. The experience truly opened my eyes not only to incredibly beautiful scenery but also to the warmth and spirit of the people we encountered. It’s impossible to embark on such a journey and not return home feeling a little lifted, completely refreshed, and with a renewed perspective on life and travel.
